That version of Matworx is not upgradeable. What kind of PBX do you have? 2000 IVS stick with what you have. 2000 IVS2 or IPS get a copy of Matworx 6.X to 8.0 this will work great for you.

Neax 2000 Ivs

Hey Guys I just got a scrapped NEAX 2000 IPS from a company and was just working on it to see how it functions. I;m new to PBX and wanted to learn more. I figured out the line card and the Dterm phone card on the PIM. I am even able to setup 2 phones and talk to each other. The problem I am having is with the trunk line. When I dial in from outside into the PBX system it works.

But when I want to make an outgoing call, if I dial the outside number all I get is an engaged tone. I have to also tell you that the Dterm series i phone that the company gave me has a faulty LCD screen so I cant even go to program it. Can anyone help to tell me why I can't make outgoing calls? Thanks for your help.Dave RE: NEAX 2000 IPS PBX problem (Programmer) 2 Sep 12 10:14. Hey Ozz Thanks for replying.

Here's an update for you. The trunk line I was using was from my friends PABX. Apparently the trunk he gave me had access to only local lines and could not dial out. Once we changed the access level on the number I could dial out. Heres another problem I'm having. Ok so my friends PABX is Hipath 3000. His numbers are of the order 38400.

I.e all his local office people dial each other like 38401 using only the extensions. The trunk he gave me was 38500.

He changed the access on the line and then I could dial out. So on the NEAX, I would dial 9 to get to the NEC pbx trunk card and then 9 again which is the outgoing access on the hipath system and then i dial the external number and it goes through. I hope this makes sense. Heres the problem. From the NEC PBX if I dial 38401, i get an engaged tone. I think the old configuration of the NEX pBX blocks the number 3. If you can show me how I can connect to the NEAX 2000 IPS via modem and do some blind programming.

Believe me I'd be really grateful for that. I'm new at PBX but I wanna learn and any help would e much appreciated. RE: NEAX 2000 IPS PBX problem (TechnicalUser). We don't need line cards, we need an analogue extension card! Can you make out anything in the display on the dterm? As we are going to have to either find out the current extension number, or change the number, of the built in modem. My initial guess would be that it is the last extension in your number range so if your extensions are 2xx then try ringing 299 it should answer with silence and after 5 or so seconds give a tone.

The reason you can't dial 93xxx will be the LCR in the IPS and we can't fix that till we can talk to it. You will need a terminal emulator to talk to the system, Hyperterminal will do but if that isn't available, download a free one like Terraterm. Even better (if you can get hold of it) would be MatWorx. RE: NEAX 2000 IPS PBX problem (Instructor) 28 Sep 12 01:36.

Baddos, That IP and port are used for many different connections. ACD uses the OAI port 60030 whereas the IP MAT connection uses port 60000. It's possible you have an IPLA in your system and your ping it as it will have a different IP address assigned to it.

If your using MatWorx, Just connect using your dial-up connection and from MatWorx goto System Lan Interface and do a lookup for the IP address that is assigned to this interface. RE: NEAX 2000IVS and Matworx over TCP/IP? (TechnicalUser) 4 May 09 16:22.
